Overview

In early January, tensions in the baltic started to rise, eventually Russia and Latvia declared war on Estonia, where Poland then declared on them, and Germany declared on Poland.

Before the War

In early January, tensions in the baltic started to rise, as Poland had declared a protection pact over Lithuania. Latvia and Russia were greatly unhappy with this, and as a sign of retaliation, they stationed troops on the Estonian border, preparing for an invasion.

Poland stated, an invasion of Estonia will mean a declaration of war on it's allies too, and threatened to join the war against Russia.

In secret, a deal between Latvia and Germany created a plan for an invasion of Poland.

The War

The war kicked off, and it was a brutal start. The swamps of Estonia managed to slow down the Russian advance in the east, whilst they blew up the only road connecting them to Europe in the south, halting the Latvian advance.

Germany was quick to spring into action, and immediately declared war on Poland, retaking Danzig and moving towards the capital of Warsaw.

During the war, the Benelux suddenely declared on Germany, where very small pushes were made.

Once Warsaw was eventually captured, the Polish troops fell shortly afterwards to the Russian troops. The Estonians, having lost all hope, surrendered and gave up on June 29th, 1933
