Battles of Rzeszow XXV
Overview
First Battle of Rzeszow
Poland launched an attack from the Military base just east of the city, pushing in through the square of the city.
After months of relentless fighting and artillery bombardments, they eventually took the city in early November.
Second Battle of Rzeszow
After capturing the city, a small army group was stationed to keep the city from falling again, however, during nightfall while the troops were mostly sleeping, the enemy began an artillery bombardment, with 40 artillery guns.
The enemy eventually retook the city just in 1 month.
Third Battle of Rzeszow
For the third battle of the city, the polish command department appointed "Nicolaj Kirk", an ethnically danish general in the polish army, to lead the charge.
General Kirk had a different approach, choosing slow and gradual progress is better than rushed and unsafe.
With this tactic in mind, he lead the army group on a steady route through the city to recapture it, but not before taking out the artillery guns just south in the Factorial plant.
He managed to retake the city with minimal casualties on the Polish side, whilst wiping out the entire Slovak forces stationed inside the city.
