Spanish-Portuguese War
Overview
After tensions rising for multiple months without end, and the recent switch to Fascism done by Portugal, the tensions were simply put too much for both sides, and a conflict eventually broke out. Imperial Spains idea to unite the Iberian Peninsula might finally come true, however, as it looks, it might not as well.
The War
The events leading up to the war were not quite too dire, the war was kicked off due to over self-confidence by the Spanish leaders.
The Portuguese had long been on the Spanish radar for possible puppets or even states to integrate, however recently Portugal had made a switch to Fascism.
June 29th, 1939
On June 29th, 1939, Spain declared war on Portugal for current unknown reasons. The war on the Iberian Peninsula will once again prove whose technology is better than the others, as it is a clash of countries much like the Spanish Civil War.
On August 5th, 1939, the Leader of Spain fired the old Field Marshal and established him with "Skuppens", one of his more experienced men, and already a few days later Spain saw improvements in the conflict.
