Spanish Civil War CWS XIV
Overview
The Spanish Civil War is a conflict between a Nationalist Party and the Monarchy of the Iberian Union. It started due to unrest in the council in Madrid. It has proven to be the most brutal civil war to date.
Before the War
On November 3rd, 1932, a council meeting took place, to determine who would take control of Iberia. Whilst the council was in heavy favour of leaving the Monarchy in full charge of Spain, the Nationalist part of the council were quick to speak up against this, stating this would surely bring extreme unrest to the peninsula. However, the majority vote went to the Monarchs, and they would soon seize full control over Iberia, dismantling the council.
The Nationalists then took to the streets of Barcelona, where they were quickly taken care of by the Spanish national guard. This caused out roar among the population, and the Nationalist soon declared themselves independent.
